Finally Asked...

Last night, Justin finally asked Megan to marry him!!! Yay! I'm going to have a niece/nephew and a sister :)

He gave her a ring that used to be our Grandma Hazel's. I have her actual wedding ring; I wear it as my wedding ring. This was a wedding set that she just happened to own. It's Gold (I like white gold) so I thought it would be really cool if he used it... and it fit! :)

Hiccups

-27weeks 1day-

I felt them for the first time last night!! (27weeks exactly) :) It was really cool!
I've read about them happening.. and wondered what they would feel like to me...

And they felt like a consistent, rhythmed pulse, every 2-3 seconds! Tristan is sitting low (still mostly below belly button), so I couldn't feel them on the outside of my tummy, only in my uterus... lasted for a while too.

I was at my Mom's house for dinner... told her and she confirmed! It was really exciting :)

Wow!

-25weeks 1 day-

I found out that I am going to be an aunt!

Justin told me at work yesterday that Megan might be pregnant. So, after family night dinner at Mom's, they came by my house and got the pregnancy tests that I had left.
She couldn't wait till morning to find out and took it at like 4am....

We did the calculations and figure they are due August 15th.

I kind of feel like Justin is stealing my thunder, but I will get over it....

He Got To Feel Him!!

-25weeks-

Am 25 weeks now... had an OB appointment today.

My Dr was really cool and let me bring my Mom for a special ultrasound. So, she joined Kaleb and I... and Tristan was moving around so much! It was hard to get any kind of pictures. But MY Dr confirmed that we are having a boy and that everything is looking great!

The part that I'm really excited about... Tristan was moving around and I could feel him A LOT when I was waiting for the ultrasound... I definitely felt him kick! AND Kaleb got to feel him for the first time!!! I was so excited!

YAY for more movement! :)


Also found out that I've gained 20 pounds! :( Was not excited about that... and trying not to get depressed over it... I know that I will work hard and get it off after the baby is born... but dang it! It sucks!

Hard Core Nesting

-24weeks 5days-

So, today Kaleb and I did some hard core work in our house!!
It is absolutely amazing how clean my house is! lol

We got all of the Christmas stuff put away... which was a huge mess in our living room! Between the tree, all the decoration boxes and wrapping paper.. it was bad lol

I started with that... and it just snow balled! Kaleb actually started helping me.. and went far beyond what I was planning on doing. But it was good, because I knew I couldn't do it all by myself. I needed that little motivation and help... or I would have just put it off again...

So, we got:
All of Christmas put away
Living room cleaned & vacuumed
Dinning room cleaned & vacuumed
Kitchen cleaned (and all the dishes washed)
Storage container/bakeware cupboard cleaned & organized
The baby's nursery vacuumed & organized
All his blankets & handful of outfits washed

And tomorrow we are planning on deep cleaning the bathroom... and tackling our bedroom which looks like a bomb went off! lol
I have so many clothes to put away... and things to organize.. and Kaleb said he wants to move the furniture around! sounds like a lot of work! lol

But once that is done, the whole house (NOT including the garage LOL) will be completely done and clean!!! I'm so excited...

Then it's just a matter of keeping it that way.. until the baby comes, and it will never be clean again LOL ;)

I want to get everything taken care of now and maintain for the next few months...

Just reading what we did today is making me tired! lol I don't know how I made it through the day.... must have been a good pregnancy day! I haven't been having many of those recently! Glad it fell on a day my hubby could help me with the house!

New Year's Eve

-24weeks 3days-

Kaleb and I spent last night listening to his Dad's band play at Gentlemen Gene's. It's our last New Year's Eve as a couple... It's pretty crazy to think about..


We spent the evening with my cousin Jessica and her fiancee Erik.


And with Justin and Megan (my brother and his girlfriend). Justin had to work but was able to join us right before midnight.
