Potty Training - Day 4

-1 year 10 months 1 week 1 day old-


I am so frustrated!!!
I am stuck in this house until Tristan learns to tell us when he has to pee...
He still refuses. He knows when he goes... Sometimes it even seems like he knows when he's about to go...

I feel like a horrible mom... But I'm tired of him. I don't want to even be around him...

Obviously what I'm doing isn't working... So, I'm not going to be allowed to leave anytime soon :(

Okay.. So he might not be ready...

But what if he is, its just taking a little bit longer. What if it takes till day 6 or 8 and I give up on day 4. I would hate to think I'm this close and throw in the towel and all the frustration and tears are for nothing!
Just so I can turn around and do it all again....
*sigh*
It just really, really sucks!!

Potty Training - Day 3

-1 year 10 months 1 week old-

I was up and ready early this morning... so I can catch Tristan right when he woke up, to take him to the potty.. he was wet :( BUT when I took him to the potty at 2am and he was dry!! He was awake for 30 minutes and did not pee. But he was still dry after 6 hours! So, that's awesome! I'm pretty sure if he would have peed at 2am, he would have still been dry this morning. But oh well. This is progress!

On a related note, he has figured out already that he can use going to the potty as a stall tactic/manipulation NOT to go to bed... He did it last night and then again for his nap today. And obviously, he didn't need to go if he was still dry at 2am.
So, I'm handling it this way if he says he needs to go- I take him one time. If he goes awesome, if he doesn't... I just tell him it's time for bed. I will not take him back and forth. He gets one "peepee pass" (LOL).

I think it is going well. The first day he went through 49 pairs of undies; day two- 19.. and so far today he's gone through 4!! So, I think we are getting closer!

I also started today, that if he goes peepee in the potty, I'm giving him a little cookie (which he RARELY ever gets; it's a low sugar healthy lemon cookie... but they are SOOOOO good!). I'm hoping that it is a better incentive to tell Mommy and go in the potty.

Potty Training - Day 2

-1 year 10 months 6 days old-

Tristan loves that cheap little duck! LOL  It was so cute... him pulling him around in the wagon for his blocks.

LOL  I caught him making a duckface!  HA HA HA

 
Potty training day two....
Not 'as' bad as yesterday. He's getting closer.... He had less dribble accidents, because he's holding it- so longer periods of being dry. But then he has a big accident. He does NOT like being wet... he whines/cries, but still can't seem to release sitting on the potty. Tried having him stand again today, he didn't like that either. I certainly hope he pulls it all together soon!!

Potty Training - Day 1

-1 year 10 months 5 days old-

Potty training. YIKES!

omgosh!! I'm exhausted!
Tristan cries when he pees his undies... then when I take him to the potty, he refuses to finish or go on the potty. Then he tells me all done... Put new undies on him, and he dribbles or goes again with in 5 minutes....
I have 30 pairs! But with all the "dribbling" we went through 15 this morning before his nap :S   I didn't want to take any chances... so I threw them in the wash during his nap.

He did go right to sleep though... so that's a plus. He usually plays in his crib for a little while before falling asleep.  And he left the quilt in place... so yay.  I put a quilt and blanket down, tucked under his mattress for some extra absorbancy.

Things could have gone better.... lol It has not clicked for Tristan yet. When he did pee on the potty, he said "uh oh" :S I praised him and assured him that it was okay and exactly what he needed to do.
I SOOOOOO hope tomorrow goes better. Today was so stressful!!

I was almost in tears several times today.   I was so frustrated... and I couldn't express my frustration (having to stay positive and all)... And when I'd put new undies on him, he'd immediately pee in them... so then I stopped putting him in undies and we stayed in the bathroom for a while. He would get off the potty, from not going, then pee right on the floor. ugh. It's been quite a long day...

22 Months Old!!

-1 year 10 months old-

My little man is 22 months old today!!!  Soon... I won't be counting by months! :'( *sniff*sniff*

 

 

HA HA.  The look he is giving me... too bad I cut it off... :P
